: Puzzling as in a bad question or some other way? Your 2 speaker hookup at the same time at different taps is interesting and I would like to know what that would do. I certainly have no idea.

Wouldn't it appear to the power section that a single speaker with an impedance of 8||16 ( 5.3 ohms) is connected?
