'Cathode Current Draw Change as Tubes Age'

I put in and bias a fresh set of 6v6 at about 23mA on each cathode with a plate voltage around 420 VDC. Does the tube's resistance increase or decrease with age? Would the bias current decrease from what you originally wet it to?
Reason for question is I have three 6v6 tubes that I mixed up. One pair is matched, the remaining tube was used briefly in class A. Went to put a pair in an amp after a mod and noticed one tube was 15mA higher than the other. Swapped the higher current tube with another 6v6 and they matched. Appreciate any input.
