Just finished wiring up a 4-4-0, but still have to wade through the schematic to make sure I got it all right.
I want to double check my bias calculation: from the schematic:
.7 PaMax / Va should yield the "mA reading across R16 & R17" (actually, this should say the mV reading across R16 & R17)
From the Tungsol datasheet, PaMax=5W
From the schematic, Va=339V
This results in approx 10mA (which, across a 1 ohm resistor is 10mV)
Does this sound right??
