Thank you. I applied DC to the heaters of the AX7 and left the power tube connected to the transformer filament leads. The heater bus was dis-connected from the AX7. I was surprised that it did not reduce the 120Hz noise. I have read it should not be necessary to run the power tube on DC since the signal to noise ratio at that point is much larger than at the input tube. I did disconnect the heater elevation connection to the power tube. I have an update but would like to post to a new thread. I think I have EMI issues when the guitar is plugged in.
