Glad you're still finding this enjoyable, but You'd be able to learn a lot more if you gave us some pictures to work with. Then we wouldn't be shooting in the dark so much. for instance, If you've misinterpreted the schematic and don't know about it, we'd be falsely assuming what u have matches the schematic and layout. E.g. I've seen people ground a heater centre tap as well as connecting one side to the power tube cathode, knowing both can work on their own but not that they can't work together, so they didn't mention it and we would have never known without pics. Grounding on the shielded cables is another area for confusion as the schematic might not be immediately obvious around them if you don't know what to expect. |
